Obituary for Linda Lane Tallman (Ryder)

Linda Lane Ryder Tallman, 70, of Chester, VA passed away peacefully after an extended illness on Monday, August 29, 2016. Born in Mountain Grove, Bath County, VA, the daughter of the late LeRoy Ryder and Ruth Lane Luster Ryder, and the loving sister of her passed brother and sister; John LeRoy Ryder, of Clifton Forge, VA and Lillie Lee Ryder Buzzard of Hot Springs, VA. Her husband Marvin C. Tallman, from Stoney Bottom, WV passing away in 2005, her one true love whom though he went ahead of her and was deeply loved and missed; they will come together in the heavens in time to be rejoined on their 50th wedding anniversary. The two of them shared their lives in Chesterfield, VA and are survived by their daughter, Kristy M. Tallman of Chester, VA and their son Justin C. Tallman of Raleigh, NC. A grandmother for 26 years to Ashlie N. Stell (1988-2005), Wesley W. Stell and Ryan S. Stell. She leaves behind two sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law and nieces and nephews though too numerous to count all were loved very much. The family invites and will receive family and friends at an intimate graveside service to be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, S. Prince George, VA 23805. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes, 2033 Boulevard. In lieu of flowers, it was her wish that donations be made to Mountain Grove Cemetery wherein lay in peace her mother, father, brothers and sisters.
