Paul Winfred Walk, Jr., 72, of Church Road, VA passed away on December 26, 2016 at his residence. Born in Bluefield, WVA, he was the son of the late, Paul Winfred, Sr. and Jane Reel Walk. Mr. Walk was a member of the graduating class of 1963 from Petersburg High School and also received his Bachelor’s Degree of Business Finance from Virginia Tech in 1967. Paul was retired from Virginia First Savings in Petersburg after 30 years of service. He was a dedicated and faithful member of Nottoway Baptist Church. Mr. Walk is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Cynthia Smith Walk; two children, Whitney Clay Walk and fiancé, Chris Stanley and Paul Winfred Walk, III; one granddaughter, Emma Louise Stanley; one brother, John R. Walk, Sr. and wife, Ellen; his mother-in-law, Patsy Smith; brother-in-law, Bill Smith and wife, Susan; two nieces, Sarah Robbins and husband, Nathan and their daughter, Elsie and Emily Francis and husband, Trey and their son, Carter; two nephews, John R. Walk, Jr. and Adam Smith and wife, Chelsea and their daughter, Sloane; two goddaughters, Elizabeth Ann Carr and Brittany Carr Capecci; and numerous loving cousins. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, with the Rev. Thomas Collins, officiating. Interment will be private.
