Obituary for Mildred Hunter Eley

Mildred Hunter Eley, 94, of Colonial Heights passed away on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Hopewell Health Care Center. Born November 3, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Emsley and Ursula Hunter, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Randolph Davis Eley, Sr.; son, Randolph Davis Eley, Jr.; and grandchild, Brook Davis Eley. Mildred was a member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church, American Legion Aux Post #284, Secretary for the Colonial Heights Chapters 1041 and 1399 of AARP, President Senior Citizens in Colonial Heights. She is survived by her daughter, Katherine “Kitty” Francis Walton; grandchildren, Kimberly Walton Bosche, Angela Smith, Hunter Randolph Eley and wife, Lael; great-grandchildren, Brian Charles Bosche, Lauren Kelly Bosche, Alyssa Katherine Smith, Bowden and Baird Eley; daughter-in-law, Donia Eley; niece, Francis Nabors; nephews, Hunter Plott, Tommy Plott, James Hunter Plott. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 in Southlawn Memorial Park, with Brian Charles Bosche officiating. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
