The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Joyce Prather can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Debbie Dolin Hazelwood
Condolence: Joyce was the best. A truly loving, considerate and giving person. I grew up with her and Wayman being a part of the family. I loved their visits and always looked forward to them. The world has lost a truly wonderful person. It is heavens gain. I wish I could be there Wayman. My thoughts and prayers are for you. May God bring you comfort and peace that only He can. I love you and Joyce always. Since dad can't really understand anymore, I will speak for him and say that Joyce is now with Jesus and much better off than any of us.

Condolence: I am so sorry to learn of Joyce's passing. I worked with her at John Randolph when it was in the old building. She was such a sweet person with a very upbeat personility. She was great to work with and could run circles around most of us. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Condolence: Joyce will be greatly missed at River View on the Appomattox. She was truly an inspiration to all of us! She loved what she did and that was taking care of others. She always had a smile and she would walk circles around us!!!

Her hugs and smiles were contagious, she meant so much to us!

Until we meet again!
