Obituary for Terry Ray Robertson

Terry Ray Robertson
Terry Ray Robertson, formerly of Kensington Avenue, Colonial Heights, 46, went to walk with the Lord on Friday, July 28, 2017, at Chippenham Medical Center. His passing was due to years of struggling with painful, debilitating muscular dystrophy. Born in Petersburg, Virginia on January 25, 1971, Terry was a graduate of the Colonial Heights High School class of 1989, as well as a graduate of John Tyler Community College. Terry worked at the Richmond Defense Supply Center for the U.S. Government and had retired in 2015. He was also a member of the Ettrick and Matoaca Volunteer Rescue Squad. Terry was a lot like Noah from the Book of Genesis, as they were both righteous men whom walked with God. Terry is survived by his loving parents, William Robertson and Judy Hines Robertson; his sister, Kris Mueller and husband, Michael; his nephews and nieces, Michael Anthony Mueller, II., Tiffany Mueller, Matthew Mueller, Jessica Mueller, and Aulora Mueller; his aunt, Martha Vaughan; and his devoted friends, Duane and Bobby Moody. The family will receive friends Saturday, August 5, 2017, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with a funeral service taking place directly after at 2:00 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834, with the Reverend David Prather officiating. Entombment will follow at the mausoleum in Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Road, South Prince George, Virginia 23805. The family would also like to extend their deepest gratitude to Terry’s caregivers and to the nurses and doctors at Chippenham Medical Center for their incredible service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) 1503 Santa Rosa Rd, Henrico, VA 23229, to the Big Brothers Big Sisters Organization of Richmond, 1707 Summit Ave #200, Richmond, VA 23230, or to a charity of your own choosing. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
