Susie Mae Marshall 65, of Colonial Heights passed away Monday July 31, 2017 at her residence. She was born February 17, 1952 in Appalachia, Virginia. Susie was preceded in death by her mother Velma Boggess. She retired after 16 years as a CNA from the Petersburg Home for Ladies. Susie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt and she will be deeply missed by her family. She is survived by her loving daughter, Raven Boyd and husband, Keaunta; grandson, Xavier Boyd all of Chester; one sister, Mary Anderson of Petersburg; brother, Clarence Boggess of Columbia Georgia; nieces, Telisha Harris of Petersburg, Nicole Young of Fort Walton Beach Florida, and Chasity Lovell Lane of Big Stone Gap; several other nieces and two special friends, Zenobia Hampton-Mitchell and Peggy Jackson. Funeral services are private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in honor of Susie to the American Cancer American Cancer Society 4240 Park Place Court Glen Allen, VA 23060.
