Barbara Joyce Wilson, 82, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017. Born in Morgantown West Virginia, She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Martha White. Barbara is also preceded in death by her two sisters, Bonnie Oliver and Betty Bertschinger; and one granddaughter, Tara Wilson. Barbara was known for being a loving housewife, mother, and worked as an LPN for several years and was a devoted member Calvary Baptist Church. She is survived by her loving husband, James Arthur Wilson Sr.; her children, James Wilson, Jr. (Delma), Stephen Wilson (Lori), Timothy Wilson (Susan), Melanie Hurd (Robert – deceased), and Joshua Wilson (Lorrie); a sister, Amy Jacob (John); grandchildren, Andrew Wilson (Amanda), Nathaniel Hurd (Shere), Heather Wilson, Racheal Satterwhite (Glenn), Alicia Watson (Kevin), Lauren Hurd, Claire Ashley (Frank), Benjamin Wilson, Ashley Wilson, Caleb Wilson (Alexa), and Ryan Wilson; and her great-grandchildren, Jacob Satterwhite, Philip Satterwhite, Matthew Satterwhite, Owen Satterwhite, Savannah Smith, Anthony Smith, Kennis Hurd, Bailey Wilson, and Kylie Wilson, as well as multiple nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 17001 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with the Pastor Ray Haskett officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10-11:00 a.m., Entombment to follow at Southlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church.
