Obituary for Richard Henry Johnson

Richard Henry Johnson, 84, of Prince George, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017. Born in Petersburg, Virginia; he was the son of the late Ruben and Bertha Fuller Johnson, and was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters. Mr. Johnson retired from the City of Colonial Heights Public Works Department in the Road Maintenance Division. He enjoyed being outside, loved cutting grass and going to his son’s farm. He is survived by three sons, Richard L Johnson and wife, Connie of Sussex, Tony S. Johnson and wife, Janette of Surry, and James Neal Johnson of Prince George; grandchildren, Madison, Ashley, Amelia, Brittany, and Tabitha Johnson; a sister, Annie Pacheco of Colonial Heights, along with numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 18, 2017 in Southlawn Memorial Park Prince George with the Reverend Jay Harrison officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association 4600 Cox Road, Suite 130 Glen Allen, VA 23060 or the American Heart Association P.O. Box 4217 Glen Allen, VA 23060.
