Renée Lanier Williamson, 51, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018, after fighting a courageous battle with Glioblastoma Multiforme. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, and worked as an Accounts Receiving Clerk with Campofrio Food Group in Chesterfield and formerly with Crane 1 Services in Walthall. Renée was a passionate supporter for people with autism. She loved gardening, yardwork and animals. Renée is survived by two daughters, Michelle Lanier and Brandy Williamson; a son, Jacob Williamson; her parents, Malvin and Dorothy Wawner Lanier; and two brothers, Keith Lanier (Richard Lipscomb) and Allen Lanier; also a very special friend, Drew Maddox. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2018 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 3110 Greenwood Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with the Reverend Dr. Joey Anthony and the Reverend James Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday prior to the service at church.
